    This is a good question - I'm in the same predicament.

    The basic answer is Yes. Even if you're just one person, and/or not seeking funding, you still need it for your own sake.

    It's really naive to think one can launch and grow a business with all the details soley just in your head.

    Segmenting contact lists and sending them a targeted message has always helped us, because different contacts will respond to messages differently. It always depends on the type of business, but the bottom line is that lead generation shouldn't be scattershot. I've done that, even recently--lousy results doing something I knew was untargeted and wrong. It's just so tempting...

    This is good advice because it is common sense. Common sense sometimes is hard to find. A marketing plan evolves over time as you learn from your customers, prospects and industries you serve. It's important that real life experiences shape and refine the plan as you go.

    I find blogging one of the good ways of internet marketing. I have received a small number of visitors on my site especially from the sites where I commented their blogs.
